It’s a big scary world out there, and there are plenty of nasty people out there trying to keep us from doing what we love to do. The Gila Rough Riders is not just about riding, but also about making sure we CAN ride.
Promoting Responsible Off-Roading is key to our future. Fighting for our right to ride, preserving riding areas and access to them is vital. Promoting Safety and Respect for the environment, other users, public and private property are our founding principals.
The Gila Rough Riders has been involved in the politics of riding from the beginning. We have written and introduced legislation here in New Mexico, testified before the Consumer Product Safety Commission, and are constantly battling the “Evil Greenies” to maintain our right to ride.
As a Gila Rough Rider you will receive Action Alert E-mails to help keep you informed as to your rights, what is at risk, and what you need to do tohelp.
Part of being a Gila Rough Rider is being responsible for what you need to do to help. It might be just a phone call or a letter, but we expect you to be there when it counts.
