March 25, Wednesday, Arrivals may join the residents of the Burro Mountain Homestead for Wednesday night’s Open Grill Potluck dinner in “the corral”.  This will be an “Open Grill Potluck”,  bring what you want to eat and drink, throw your meat on the grill, share the side dishes…

No Meals served on Thursday. 

Here’s a menu update/recap as prepared and served by the Burro Mountain Homestead…

March 27, Friday

Breakfast, 7:30 to 8:30 AM:  Homemade egg and bacon breakfast burritos with green chili sauce, hash browns, juice and coffee.

Breakfast each day will be served in the Lodge dining room. This is a beautiful historic lodge, and it will be nice and warm!

 

Dinner, 6:00 PM in the Corral.  Hamburgers and Hot dogs with all the trimmings, baked beans, cake, coffee and lemonade. BYOB

 

March 28, Saturday

Breakfast, 7:30 - 8:30 AM:  Pancakes and syrup, scrambled eggs, sausage, juice and coffee.

 

Dinner, 6:00 PM in the Corral:  Featuring Bucky's famous smoked brisket with mashed potatoes, coleslaw, dinner rolls and peach cobbler.  Coffee and Lemonade available. BYOB

 

March 29, Sunday

Breakfast 7:30 - 8:30 AM.  Fried Eggs, biscuits with country sausage gravy, juice and coffee.

 

March 26, Thursday, Check-in, Qualifying, and ATV Tractor pull; 

  • Check in includes Qualifying runs on a small timed trail ride to help us get people into the right riding group so people can   RIDE AT THEIR OWN PACE”.
  • QUALIFYING….Are you GREEN or BLUE ? Qualifying is NOT A RACE!  Riders will be riding on a very short course they have never seen before.  It is a test of a rider’s judgment and perceptive abilities as well as their riding abilities.  Anyone failing to complete the course in the allotted time will be limited to GREEN  rides.  One Chance, No RE-Dos.  If you biff, or get stuck you will be riding GREEN rides.
  •  (Rumors that qualifying officials are taking bribes for re-dos are unconfirmed…)

 Riders will be ranked by ability, experience, and riding style and will fall into two main groups, GREEN and BLUE; and yes, some riders will be riding in multiple classes…

    1. Adventurers”, are our beginners and youngsters just getting the hang of it. Short, easy trail rides
    2.  Turtles”, Slow and steady. 
    3. Cruisers”, are riders wanting to take their time and see the sights, scenic vistas, old mines.
    4. Cruiser Plus” These will be the longest rides.  Pack a lunch. These long hard rides will be at a faster pace in order to get back to camp for dinner. Experienced riders only.
    5. Shooters”, Dirtbikes, sport quads and big bore utilities,,,,with an attitude. You know who you are. Morning and Afternoon rides. You guys don’t want to carry a lot of stuff, so plan on being back for lunch. Experienced riders only.
    6. Rockers”, 4x4’s, and dirtbikes who just gotta go do the rough and rocky stuff. Morning and Afternoon rides. Experienced riders only.
  • You are on your own for dinner Thursday night, (Burro Mtn. Homestead Kitchen opens Friday morning for Breakfast). 
  • Special live performance in the Corral by Lix Lizard, with special guest Doona Gecko. “Classic Lounge” Rat pack, Classic Country, 60’s Pop. Lounge Lizards extraordinaire.  Followed by….
  • Sing-a-long & Karaoke in the Corral Thursday night, Get to know more than you ever wanted to about your new neighbor and riding buddy, enjoy the good, the bad, and the extremely funny. B.Y.O.B….. you’ll need it.

March 28, Friday

  • All Rides leave from Base Camp.  No trailering necessary.
  • Breakfast burritos, coffee etc. starts at 7:30
  • Riders meeting at 8:30
  • First rides leave at 9:00, and all through the morning, (It will be pretty chilly in the morning. Daylight Savings time is in effect.  9:00 is a good start time)
  • Friday evening is “Build your own Burger” night. We supply lots of fixin’s, you have it your way.
  • Audio Visual surprises in the Corral, on the BIG screen, throughout the evening.
  • LIVE OHV GAME SHOW,  “Dirty Bizzness”, win some cool new tires, riding gear, or maybe some mud, with your favorite reptilian game show host, Lix Lizard. Answer questions about the OHV world, and come home with some goodies.

March 29, Saturday

  • Pancake breakfast starts at 7:30
  • Rider’s meeting at 8:30
  • First rides leave at 9:00 
  • 6:00 P.M. Awesome BBQ Brisket dinner in the Corral , followed by,
  • Award ceremony & Live entertainment

March 30, Sunday, Last chance to ride….

  • Biscuits and gravy, Coffee etc. starts at 7:30
  • GPS TREASURE HUNT, First coordinates announced after  9:00 A.M.
  • Willow Creek Poker Run starts after 9:00 A.M.
  • GPS TREASURE HUNT and POKER RUN are both on Willow Creek Loop, and can be run simultaneously if desired.
  • GPS TREASURE HUNT and POKER RUN prizes given out at conclusion of events
  • Campers are welcome to stay till Monday when we will break camp.  You are on your own for dinner if you stay.  Corral, Big Screen, and Big Grill will all be there. Who knows what will happen as the “last dogs” settle in for the last night of the GILA MONSTER ATV JAMBOREE….
